The House of Representative’s TV archives snatch; the meeting was stirred up by chaos

25/10/2017

KABUL(SW): A number of members of the Wolesi Jirga (lower house) today summoned Homayoun Homayoun, vice chairman of parliament, and Naeem Lalai Hamidzai, a member of parliament, for armed robbery in the House of Representative’s television archive and for paying bribe to the employees of this section, and with this accusation the parliamentary meeting was stirred up by chaos.

Gulpacha Majid, a member of the parliament, said Homayoun Homayoun and Naeem Lalai Hamidzai have entered the National Assembly Addendum with weapons and have inspected the archives of the House of Representatives. Mr. Majidi claims that Homayoun Homayoun and Lalai Hamidzai have also given bribe money to employees of National Assembly Addendum. This Member of Parliament wants the Attorney General’s Office to investigate the incident.

Homayoun Homayoun, the vice chairman of the parliamentary assembly approves news of entering the National Assembly Addendum, but said there were documents to be checked by four committees appointed to investigate the charges of corruption against the speaker of the house. He called Gulpacha’s claims to be resent.

But some other members of the Parliament said that the continuation of such tensions among the representatives devastate the name of such institution as a law making intuition. Abdul Qayyum Sajjadi called the tension among the representatives “dishonorment” and said that the representatives put shameful allegations against each other every day.

The increase in tension among members of the parliament has caused Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, the head of parliament to end today’s meeting without any conclusion. The accusation of corruption against the Speaker of the House of Representatives for a while has caused tensions in the general meetings of the national assembly.
