BAGHLAN (SW): A number of Hezb-e Islami members in Baghlan province have established a coalition under the name of Hezb-e Islami reformists.
The members of this coalition said that Gulbuddin Hekmatyar’s peace deal with the government has had no benefit to them, and blamed Gulbuddin Hekmatyar for abandoning the members of the party.
Abdullah Nuhzatyar, the head of this coalition and a prominent member of the Hezb-e Islami said that Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has abandoned the members of the Hezb-e Islami party and has been actively engaged in creating division between the people and the other parties.
Abdul Qados Fahim, another member of the coalition also said Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has been trying to create division between parties and the people through his speeches. He added that they will not accept Gulbuddin Hekmatyar as their leader anymore.
The members of this coalition said that Hezb-e Islami is no different from other parties, and Hekmatyar’s statements about other parties are his personal view, not the Hezb-e Islami’s view.
