The PC member said that the governor’s husband has a free hand in appointments and does not allow his wife select anyone based on merit.

Sakhi Sadat, one of the civil activists in Daikundi, also accused Khalil of threatening his opponents in the local government.

Reza Wahidi, a columnist and civil activist, has urged upon the government to prevent those who do not have any official responsibility at the governor offices from interfering in the affairs.

He said that Khalil has found himself a position as secretary for the governor and keeps issuing directives.

The governor, however has discarded these claims, and said that her husband has never interfered in the affairs.

She added that these are all conspiracies by those who are after personal gains and privileges. Khalil, her husband, has also discarded the allegations.
