The 7th RECCA Summit will be held in Turkmenistan

KABUL (SW): The Seventh Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA VII) will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan tomorrow.

The officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the goal of the meeting is to continue the economic cooperation of the countries of the region to Afghanistan, adding that the meeting will focus on important development projects that are being implemented in the region.

Shekib Mustaghni, the spokesperson of MoFA told Salam Watandar that REECA’s meeting is highly valued for Afghanistan and said that the meeting will host the Second Vice President, Sarwar Danish, Minister of Foreign Affairs Salahudin Rabbani, and some other Afghan officials.

These projects include energy projects, trade, transit, women’s economic empowerment, infrastructure construction and Afghanistan’s access to the major transit routes of the region and the world.

According to Mr. Mustaghni, the Lapis Lazuli route agreement will also be signed in this meeting.

The officials at Chamber of Commerce and Industries also considered RECCA summit a good opportunity to grow the country’s economy and investments of the regional countries in Afghanistan.

Seyamudin Pasarlai, spokesperson of Chamber of Commerce and Industries, said the signing of the Lapis Lazuli route agreement on the sidelines of the meeting will open a commercial and transit corridor between Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.

The Regional Economic Cooperation (RECCA) meeting will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, for two days, attended by representatives from 30 countries and more than 20 regional and global organizations.
