Teenagers sent to Pakistan to learn suicide attacks

11/10/2018

SHEBERGHAN (SW) – The Taliban rebels in Jawzjan province have sent a number of teen-aged boys to Pakistan to be trained for suicide attacks.

Mohammad Ayub, commander for the police in Aqcha district of the province, told Salam Watandar up to 20 teen-aged boys have been sent to Pakistan, and their families is unaware about their whereabouts.

The Jawzjan residents are increasingly worried about the growing clout of the rebels in the province. They fear the province would turn into a strong bastion for the Taliban if the government failed to take actions.

Hassan Salimi, director refugees and anti-trafficking affairs, said in this regard that such exploitation of children for terrorist attacks is also a form of human trafficking.

Meanwhile, the Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahed, has pronounced the reports about sending of children to Pakistan for training of suicide attacks, as baseless.
