KABUL (SW): The national cricket team of disabled players was declared winner of the two T-20 cricket matches series against India.
After losing the first match of the series, India won the second match with three wickets. Abdul Manan, head of the department for cricketers with disabilities, informed Salam Watandar that the Physically Challenge Cricket Association of India (PCCAI) awarded the trophy to Afghanistan when the series ended in a draw.
Afghanistan had defeated India by 39 runs in the first match of the series.
In the second match, the visiting side scored 105 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in the given 20 overs after winning toss. India achieved the target in the final over.
The two teams are set to play a landmark three-day day and night test later this month.
Separately, Afghanistan’s Under-17 national team also equalized its two T-20 match series against Bangladesh in India, but lost the three ODIs series.
