KABUL (SW): Today, at a press conference in Kabul, the leader of National Congress Party of Afghanistan, Abdul Latif Pedram said that the Tashkent conference was expected to have a desirable outcome for the Afghan peace; however, this summit was more in the interest of the US to drag the Asian countries towards its national interest. Though, the government said that the Tashkent conference was a success and will have positive outcomes for Afghanistan.
At another press conference, Javed Faisal, the deputy spokesperson for the CEO Abdullah Abdullah said the Tashkent Conference on Peace in Afghanistan was the most important summit for Afghanistan.
In another part of his speech, Pedram said that this year will be a difficult and challenging year for Afghanistan, and the Tashkent Conference does not help the Afghan peace.
The Tashkent Conference was held on March 27 in Uzbekistan to end the war and backup peace in Afghanistan.
In addition to President Ghani, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives from 23 other countries attended the conference.
