TALUQAN (SW): Up to five public parks would be developed in Taluqan, capital of Takhar province, with development funds worth over one hundred thousand dollars.
Azizur Rehman Maqsoodi, mayor of Taluqan, said while inaugurating the project that these parks would add to the beauty of the city and clean environment. He added these new parks would be completed in five months.
A number of areas selected for these parks were previously encroached upon by land-grabbers that is why the government’s move to build public parks has been hailed by the Takhar residents.
