KABUL (SW) – The Taliban have directed International Committee of Red Cross and the World Health Organization to halt their activities.
In a statement issued by the insurgents, the ICRC and the WHO have been charged for indulging in ‘suspicious activities’.
The statement said: “Some aid agencies are not conducting their relevant operations in the right way, among them the International Committee of Red Cross is not acting in line with the pledges it made with the ‘Islamic Emirate’ officials, similarly during vaccination campaign by he World Health Organization, suspicious activities and security concerns have been observed”.
The Taliban have warned these two international organizations to halt their operations until further notice.
The ICRC and the WHO have not commented in this regard.
