PUL-I-ALAM (SW): The Taliban militants have torched a middle school for girls in the Logar province, officials said on Saturday.
According to the officials, the incident took place in the Mohammad Agha district. Muhibullah Saleh, a representative from this district in the provincial council told Salam Watandar that a group of armed militants torched this school in the Kutub Khel village in this district. He added that first the rebels tied the school guards and then set the girls’ school ablaze.
As many as 550 girls were enrolled at this facility. The provincial government has acknowledged the unfortunate incident.
Taliban have not commented on this incident so far.
