GHAZNI CITY (SW): The Taliban militants have shot dead five civilians in Deh Yak district of Ghazni province, officials informed on Wednesday.
Arif Noori, public relations officer at the provincial administration, informed that the Taliban stormed Rabat village in the area last night, and killed five civilians including two children. He said the militants killed the civilians when the police left the area.
Mustafa Mayar, interim police chief, said in this regard that the Taliban killed three civilians when they were on their way home from the mosque. Hameedullah Sarwari, a member of the provincial council, said the Taliban killed three people for not having beard.
The Taliban have not commented on it so far. Local officials have said situation has returned to normal in Rabat village now.
