FAIZABAD (SW): The Taliban shot a woman and a man in the Wamchiyan area of Darayum district in front of the locals, on Monday afternoon.
Nawroz Haidari, the chief of the district, confirming the incident told Salam Watandar that the Taliban shot dead a man and a woman on charges of having an illicit relationship, on Monday afternoon. “The Taliban shot the couple in a mosque courtyard in front the people”, informed Haidari.
According to the chief of the district, the Wamchiyan area is under the Taliban control.
This year, the Taliban have prosecuted 9 women on charges of illicit relationships in Wardoj, Yamagan and Yaftal districts of Badakhshan in their informal courts.
