SAMANGAN (SW) – The Taliban insurgents have killed the abducted member of Samangan provincial council Syed Abdul Aleem Sadaat, an official confirmed.
Mohammad Hashem Sarwari, deputy chairman provincial council, told Salam Watandar the dead body of Sadaat has been found in the Chashma Sheer area in the Pul-e-Khumri city. He added the remaining four other tribal elders remain in the Taliban custody.
The provincial police Chief Niaz Mohammad Niazmand has confirmed it.
Sadaat along with four other tribal leaders were abducted by the Taliban when they were on their way to Kabul. The Taliban have not commented on this so far.
