GARDEZ (SW) – The Taliban have killed seven members of the security forces in Paktia’s Mirzakwal district, an official said.
According to chairman provincial council, Abdul Malik Zazai, the Taliban took down these members of the security forces from public transport vehicles. He added the slain members of the security forces were on their way to obtain monthly salaries.
However, the provincial police headquarters has said those intercepted by the Taliban were civilians. Sardar Wali Tabasum, spokesman for the police headquarters, said the Taliban took down four civilians from a car and later released them.
The Taliban have not commented on this.
