BADGHES (SW) – The Taliban rebels have killed at least 17 soldiers following coordinated attacks on military compound in Badghes, an official claimed on Monday.
Abdullah Afzali, deputy chairman for the provincial council, told Salam Watandar the incident took place in the restive Bala Murghab district’s Akazay village. He said the rebels have taken control of this compound.
Commenting on this, Jamshed Rasuli, spokesman for the provincial governor, has only confirmed the killing of three soldiers and injuring of four others in this attack. He asserted 10 Taliban rebels were killed in the exchange of fire here.
The Taliban have claimed the deadly attack on this army compound.
