PUL-I-KHUMRI (SW) – Police spokesman in Baghlan province has blamed the Taliban for killing Kabul University professor, Aziz Ahmad Panjshiri, on Wednesday.
According to Ahmad Jawed Basharat the incident took place in the Himatkhail area of the Baghlan Markazi district. He said the KU professor was on his way to Kunduz when the insurgents killed him. His body has been moved to the public hospital, Basharat added.
The Taliban have not commented on this incident so far.
A number of passengers travelling on this route told Salam Watandar the Taliban have established check-posts on a number of points on the Baghlan – Kunduz highway.
