‘Taliban kill 50 security personnel, seize resources’

FARAH CITY (SW): A well-placed source informed Salam Watandar the Taliban rebels have killed up to 50 security personnel in Farah province.

The source informed the Taliban raided various check posts in Bala Balook, Lash Wa Juwayn, and Farah city in the past two days. The source informed the Taliban torched five Humvees and a truck besides taking away three Humvees, one truck, arms and amunition.

These resources reported worth some $ one million.

Meanwhile, spokesman for the provincial governor, Nasir Mehri, has discarded reports about the Taliban seizing these resources from the security forces.
