FARAH CITY (SW) – Taliban rebels killed 25 soldiers in Farah province, Shah Mehmood Naimi, deputy chairman for the provincial council, said on Monday.
He said the insurgents stormed an Afghan National Army compound on the Farah Rod – Dilaram highway in the province. He said the insurgents attacked this ANA facility after sustaining heavy losses in a U.S. air raid in the restive Bakwa district of the province.
The ANA’s 207 – Zafar Corps has not commented on this incident. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
