KUNDUZ CITY (SW) – The Taliban rebels killed 18 security personnel in Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province last night, a well-placed source informed.
The source informed the rebels staged assaults on army and police check posts in which 18 policemen got killed and 15 soldiers and policemen got wounded.
Safiullah Mehzoon, director security in the province, has confirmed the incident. He asserted both sides sustained losses. He added the clashes began at 02:00 am and continued till 05:00 am.
The Taliban have not commented on this yet.
