MAIMANA (SW) – The Taliban rebels in Faryab province have killed a young man and a widow over alleged charge of adultery.
According to Abdul Jameel, governor of Balcharag district, the two have been shot dead at the widow’s home. He said the young man was resident of Pashtonkot district, and was living together with the widow for the past four days.
The Taliban have taken responsibility for the killing while charging the two for adultery.
Meanwhile, a close relative of the women, Ghulam Sakhi, informed Salam Watandar the young man was relative to the widow, and was in Balcharagh district on invitation of the relatives for few days.
