MAIMANA (SW) – The Taliban have killed two people in Faryab province on the charge of working for the government, an official confirmed on Saturday.
Abdul Kareem Yourish, spokesman for the police in Faryab, told Salam Watandar the incident took place in the Gazari village of the Khwaja Sabz Posh district. One other man is said to be injured.
In the meantime, Mansur Azizi, commander of the local uprising force in the district, told Salam Watandar the two men killed by the Taliban were members of his force.
This comes a day after 14 Taliban rebels were killed by the security forces in this part of the country.
