KABUL (SW) – Spokesman for the presidency, Sediq Sediqqi on Wednesday held the Taliban responsible for the raging conflict in the country in past 19 years.
Addressing a press conference, he vehemently condemned the deadly string of terrorist attacks on Tuesday that claimed multiple lives. Sediqqi said the insurgents’ determination for the continuation of violence and bloodshed have been hindering the peace process.
He added that based on the information provided by the security and defense forces, the Taliban have continuously staged deadly assaults since signing peace deal with the U.S. on Feb. 29. He vowed the government would not remain idle in the wake of these attacks by the terrorists.
At least 24 people, including babies and women were killed in an armed assault on a Kabul hospital on Tuesday. On the same day, a suicide attack during a funeral prayers in Nangarhar claimed at least 24 move lives.
