Taliban coordinated attacks claims over 80 lives in 36 hours

KABUL/ KUNDUZ CITY (SW): Coordinated terrorist attacks in the capital Kabul and northern Kunduz province have claimed more than 80 lives in the past 36 hours, official confirmed on Sunday.

Day after deadly coordinated attacks in the capital Kabul that saw more than 50 people dead, similar car bombing killed some 29 pro-government militia members in the Kunduz province.

The incident took place late Saturday when a car laden with explosives targeted Commander Abdul Qadir, a local militia commander in Shorab area in the Khanabad district.

Abdul Wudod Wahidi, Spokesman for Kunduz Governor told SW that the explosion killed 22 men including 4 militia commanders and wounded 7 others. Hayatullah Amiri, District Chief of Khanabad said that 3 civilians were also among the dead.

Zabiullah Mujahid, Taliban Spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack in a message and said that the attack killed around 31 pro-government individuals.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has confirmed over 50 civilians and security personnel have been killed and wounded during two separate attacks in the capital Kabul on Friday night.

Yesterday, Kabul Police Academy in Afshar area and a military base of the collation forces in Qasaba area came under attack while a truck loaded with explosives exploded at the Shah Shaheed area in Kabul.
