QALA-I-NAW (SW): Security officials have said a Taliban commander shot dead his wife in Qades district of Badghis province on Friday evening.
Zaher Bahand, provincial governor’s spokesman, confirmed the incident and told Salam Watandar that the Taliban commander is called ‘Zai-u-Din’. “The motive behind the killing is not known yet”, added Bahand.
Ghulam Haider, security chief at the provincial police headquarters, said the incident took place in the Taliban controlled area. The Taliban insurgents have not commented on the issue.
