BAGHLAN (SW) – The Taliban insurgents have staged multiple coordinated assaults in Baghlan Markazi district of Baghlan province killing and wounding at least 10 security forces.
Well-placed sources told Salam Watandar the Taliban are advancing from multiple directions in the district. The source said the insurgents have also killed at least ten members of the Hezb-e-Islami party in the district.
Officials are yet to comment on this.
The local security forces have warned the district might fell to the insurgents if additional troops are not sent for their rescue swiftly. At least ten Taliban insurgents are believed to be killed in the Baikzad area of the district.
The Taliban, however, claimed 12 civilians are killed in the air raid.
