SHARANA (SW): The Taliban have imposed ban on polio vaccination in Paktika province’s three districts.
Wali Gul Kharoti, head of the directorate of public health, informed Salam Watandar that the Taliban have imposed the ban on polio vaccination in Gomal, Kher Kot and Barmal districts. He feared up to 45,000 children would miss the crucial vaccine in these districts.
A while ago, the Taliban had imposed a similar ban on polio vaccination in Paktika, but later lifted the ban.
