KUNDUZ (SW) – The Taliban stormed Kunduz city early on Saturday morning with assaults on check posts.
According to the official sources and eye-witnesses, the insurgents began their assaults with shelling on a public hospital here.
Feroz Bashari, director, Government Media and Information Center, said in a series of tweets that at least 26 Taliban fighters were killed in the first air strike in Zakhail area of Kunduz. He blamed the Taliban for using civilians as human shields.
Sarwar Hussaini, spokesman for police, said the security forces have inflicted heavy losses on the Taliban. He added fresh troops have arrived and soon situation would come to normal.
