GHAZNI CITY (SW): The Taliban militants in Ghazni province took away passengers of two cars along with them, officials said on Saturday.
Mustafa Mayar, interim chief for the provincial police headquarters, told Salam Watandar the incident took place in the Qara Bagh district’s Mekhta area. He said the abducted passengers have been taken away to the Siyah Koh area. Security operation to liberate these ten abducted people has been launched, he informed.
Arif Wahidi, deputy governor for the province, has confirmed the incident. He said the security forces are investigating the incident. The passengers were on the way to Ghazni city when the militants took them down from cars.
The armed Taliban have not commented on this matter so far.
