GHOR (SW): The Taliban have kidnapped five health workers including a woman in Ghor province.

Ghulam Nabi Yagana, head of the Directorate of Public Health in Ghor, told Salam Watandar that these five health workers have been kidnapped in the suburbs of Allah Yar area of Firoozkoh city during a vaccination campaign.

According to Yagana, these people were abducted because they did not start the vaccination from the area where the Taliban asked them to.

Ziaudin Saqib, Police Chief in Ghor province, said the Allah Yar area is under the control of Taliban, and so far they have not done anything to release these five people, however, efforts are underway through tribal elders to free these five health workers from the grasp of the Taliban.

Allah Yar district is located in the west of Firoozkoh city, and is one of the most insecure areas in the province.
