Taliban abduct 9 farmers in Jawzjan

SHEBERGHAN (SW): Taliban insurgents have abducted 9 farmers on Monday night from Qara-Boin village of Aaqcha district in Jawzjan province.

Mohammad Ayub, district police chief of Aaqcha, told Salam Watandar that the Taliban took away the farmers for not paying their land taxes to the insurgents. “The Taliban had previously warned the farmers to pay land tax to the insurgents instead of the government”, informed Ayub.

The Taliban insurgents have not commented on the issue to media.
