FARAH (SW): Jamila Amini, a member of Farah Provincial Council, told Salam Watandar that the Taliban have abducted five passengers today (Thursday) from Shiwan area of Balabulak district.
According to Jamila Amini, the identities of these passengers have not been disclosed, however, they are said to be government employees. She added that there are no updates on the status of these kidnapped people.
Gulbahar Mujahid, Police Chief of Farah Province, said that the number of the kidnapped people is not known yet. He said investigations have begun.
A few days ago, Taliban kidnapped five other passengers from Herat-Kabul highway, and killed one of them who was a police officer.
