KABUL (SW): The Asian Football Federation (AFF) on Thursday facilitated Taher Raufi as an “A” Category Football Trainer”.
According to the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF), Taher Raufi completed the technical course for “A Category Football Coach” in Pakistan last year. He is currently serving the Afghanistan Football Federation as head of the technical department. Raufi is among the leading football coaches in Afghanistan.
The training sessions for this course were held in Lahore, Pakistan with the support of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
The certificate was awarded to him by Nader Arabi from the Asian Football Federation. This has further lifted the stature of this young coach in the game of football. It is vital to note that apart from Raufi, only Yousuf Kargar, the technical coach of the national squad has this certificate. This honor now allows the Afghan coach to take assist national and international teams.
Nader Arabi also distributed “B Category Football Coach” certificates among 19 participants of the course from 7 different provinces. This training course lasted for three weeks in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Arabi said on the occasion that he has been impressed by the passion and talent of the Afghan players and coaches.
