MAIDAN CITY (SW) – A suicide car bombing at a military facility in Maidan Wardak province killed at least five people, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Sharifullah Hotak, member of the provincial council, said the attack left five workers of this camp dead and wounded 12 more. Spokesman for the provincial governor, Abdul Rehman Mangal, said in this regard that the suicide bomber targeted the facility with the car loaded with explosives.
The victims include policemen and civilian mechanics in this facility, he added. The governor’s spokesman feared the death toll might rise.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
