KABUL (SW): Hours ago, three busses carrying police personnel have been targeted by suicide bombers in Kabul.
Eye witnesses told Salam Watandar that two suicide bombers targeted the police vehicles carrying cadets in the fifth police district. The convoy was travelling from the central Maidan Wardak province to the capital Kabul. Sources said that the busses were carrying fresh graduates from the police academy in Maidan Wardak.
Exact number of the casualties is not known but eye witnesses said that tens of policemen and a number of civilians have lost their lives and many more are wounded.
Siddique Siddiqui, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has confirmed the attack.
The Taliban on the other hand, have claimed to kill scores of police officers and cadets.
