KABUL (SW) – A well-placed source told Salam Watandar the convoy of foreign troops was targeted in a suicide car bombing in the Pul Bareek area of Bagram district in Parwan province last night.
According to the source, an interpreter along with four foreign soldiers got killed in this attack and two more soldiers got injured in this attack.
Earlier, the Pentagon confirmed three U.S. service members and a contractor were killed Monday by an explosive device near an American military base in Bagram. An additional three service members were wounded by what the U.S. called an "improvised explosive device" near Bagram Air Base, it said, adding the wounded were evacuated and are currently receiving medical care.
The Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahed, has claimed responsibility for the attack. He has claimed six foreign soldiers were killed and four more got injured in this attack.
Confirming the attack, Waheed Shahkaar, spokesperson for the Parwan governor, has said five civilians got injured in this attack.
