Suicide attack near NKB in Kabul claims 5 lives

KABUL (SW): At least five people have been confirmed dead and eight more wounded following a suicide attack close to the New Kabul Bank (NKB) in the capital’s Macroryan neighborhood early on Tuesday.

According to the officials, two attackers were involved in this attack one blew himself while the second one was caught by the security forces alive. Najib Danish, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), has confirmed that five civilians got killed and eight others got wounded in this suicide attack that was carried out at around 10 am in the morning.

According to the MoI deputy spokesman, luckily not many people were present at the bank when the attack took place.

A number of private banks and a state-owned publication center is located near the site of the attack. Eye witnesses informed that private property near the bank damaged due to the intensity of the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. This attack comes only days after a group of pro-Daesh militants stormed a mosque in the city’s Kher Khana neighborhood killing up to 40 people and leaving around 90 wounded.
