
KABUL (SW) – A suicide attack killed at least six people, including two civilians and four security personnel, in the capital, Kabul on Tuesday.
The interior ministry spokesman, Nusrat Rahimi, said a suicide bomber detonated his explosives in the Qambar square area during the morning rush-hour at around 07:00 a m. He said that as a result, two civilians and four security personnel got martyred and 12 others got wounded.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. The spot of the assault is close to the military academy in Kabul.
The defense ministry confirmed four soldiers lost their lives to this assault. The interior ministry has blamed the Taliban for the attack.
The attack has been widely condemned. Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah has dubbed it ‘inhuman and against the principles of Islam’.
