ASADABAD (SW): A suicide bomber riding on a motorcycle blew himself up in Asad Abad City, capital of the eastern Kunar province, claiming at least ten lives.
Reports suggest the attack took place near governor’s house around 9:00 in the morning.
Ehsanullah Fazli, Head of Health Department in the province, said that 60 injured civilians have been shifted to the hospital so far. He confirmed that at least ten people have lost lives in the attack.
A security source, who did not wish to be named, told Salam Watandar that Malek Khan Jan, one of the tribal elders in Dangam district, was the target of the attacker. The tribal leader is said to be among the dead
Abdul Raab, an eyewitness said that he saw dozen of injured people on the spot of the attack.
No one has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
