KABUL (SW) – Multiple blasts in Jalalabad city on Monday injured at least 30 people during Independence Day celebrations, an official confirmed.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor, said three of the wounded people are in critical state. Among the victims included 7 children, he added.
The provincial police headquarters spokesman Mubarek Attal said the number of people injured in these attacks is 19. He added the initial blast took place in a scrape market that injured 13 people.
Well-informed sources, however, claimed at least 50 people got injured in these back-to-back blasts.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
