Younus mentioned that up to 1286 containers of goods have been imported during this period, and only 17 containers have been exported.

It was noted that the traders and drivers in particular are facing hurdles in receiving visas, and expediting trade due to faulty roads, vague regulations and lack of cooperation by some TIR member countries.

He said the MoF has many plans and programs in sight to utilize the best of the TIR Convention. The deputy minister said TIR administrative systems would be set-up at dry ports across the country.
