Stability and Partnership warns of agitation drive

26/11/2019

KABUL (SW) – Members of the Stability and Partnership electoral team on Tuesday vowed not to tolerate what it perceived as electoral rigging by the rival camp, State Builder.

Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum, one of the key allies of Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, leader of the Stability and Partnership team, told a presser in this connection that core cause of vote fraud is President Ashraf Ghani.

Babar Farahmand, the proposed first vice president of this team, warned that if the Independent Election Commission does not cancel the void votes in three days, the team will initiate agitation drive.

But, Mirza Mohammad Haqparast, a spokeswoman for the IEC, clarified the commission is independent, and if the Stability and Partnership team has any evidence to prove their allegations, they should provide it to the commission.

We wanted to have the view of the Presidency as well as the State Builder team on this, but to no avail.
