PUL-I-KHUMRI (SW) – Hundreds of supporters of the Stability and Partnership team in Baghlan province closed the main highway in protest against alleged vote fraud.
One of the protesters, Bismillah Atash, told Salam Watandar that they demand the electoral commission to declare the suspected 300,000 votes as null and void.
According to him, similar protests are also expected to be staged in other parts of the province including Khinjan, Dushi and Markazi Baghlan.
The protesters warned that the main highway will be closed until their demands are met by the Independent Election Commission.
Due to the protest, hundreds of vehicles got stranded.
