ASADABAD (SW) – Supporters of the Stability and Partnership electoral team led by Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah on Monday staged a protest demonstration in Kunar province.
The protesters demanded the Independent Election Commission should only announce the outcome of the presidential polls after separating the fraudulent and clean votes. They also urged the government not to interfere in the IEC affairs.
Rafiullah, provincial head of the Stability and Partnership team, said on the occasion that those found guilty of vote fraud should be brought to justice.
They demanded the IEC should not ‘come under pressure from the presidency’, and declare timely results for the elctions.
They also warned not to allow any meddling and secret deals in the electoral affairs.
