MAIDAN CITY (SW) – At least seven civilians got killed in a drone strike in Maidan Wardak province, members of the provincial council said.
Sharifullah Hotak, deputy chairman for the provincial council, said the incident took place last night in the Syed Abad district. He added a passenger car was targeted in this drone strike in the Jozren village of the district. He added four of the victims belonged to a single family.
Spokesman for the provincial governor, Muhibullah Yosufzai, confirmed the incident. However, he added a delegation has been sent to the area to gather facts.
