KABUL (SW) – With the arrival of winter, the sale of second-hand imported winter cloths see a phenomenal rise.
These imported clothes attract many buyers due to the relatively lower prices and better quality. But, many of the buyers are unaware about the potential and hazardous impacts of these products.
Nazanin, a native resident of Ghazni said she generally used to buy clothes from the second-hand goods’ shops, however, after the spread of skin infections among the family members, she stopped it. She also recommends that anyone buying the second-hand stuff, should first wash them in hot waters, and then allow it to dry in sunlight so that all the germs are removed.
The second-hand stuff is generally imported from European countries, and it reaches markets in Afghanistan through Pakistan and Iran. There is a large market for these products.
