KABUL (SW) – Jawan Sher Haidari, seasoned Afghan filmmaker and head of filmmakers Union, has passed away.
According to the officials at the Afghan Films, Haidari passed away due to cardiac arrest at the Ibn Seena Hospital on Tuesday. According to his friends and family members, he recently returned from Russia after undergoing treatment there.
Haidari has to his credit a number of films.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has deplored the loss of Haidari.
