KABUL (SW) – Dozens of former employees at the Central Statistics Organization on Wednesday staged protest demonstration against their sacking.
The protesters blamed the CSO management for defying directives by the president, and replacing them with new staff.
Ramzan Haidari and Zarghoona Zakfar, two such protesters, said on the occasion, based on the directive by the president, the CSO should have kept the staff of 2017 in 2018 as well, but it has instead created two separate directorates and replaced the former workers with new ones in these directorates. The demonstrators vowed to continue with protests until their demands are not met.
A well-placed source told Salam Watandar the CSO management has hired up to 150 new advisers on high salaries in clear violation of the presidential decree no. 565.
We wished to have the views of the CSO, but to no avail.
