KABUL (SW): A member of the Masharano Jirga (upper house) from Paktika province has claimed the Russian and Iranian ‘agents’ have met members of Pakistani spy agency ISI and the Taliban in a location close to the province.
Juma Den Gyanwal, the senator, said the Russian official Gen. Akram Ahmadov and Iranian spies toured the areas close to the Paktika province on the other side of the Durand Line. He told the house that the ISI agents guided them to meet the Taliban.
As per his information, the Russian agents have told the Taliban to establish military basis in Ghazni province, Gomal and Azara districts. Fazal Hadi Muslimyar, speaker of the house, assured the members this issue would be raised with the security officials.
There were similar reports from Helmand a while ago about Iranian agents meeting the Taliban there.
