KABUL (SW): Zamir Kabulov, the Russian presidential envoy to Afghanistan, has said that if the international forces do not stop the growing activities of Daesh in Afghanistan, Moscow will launch military operations in Afghanistan against Daesh.
Meanwhile, Shah Hussein Murtazawi, the presidential spokesman, briefing a presser on Monday here in Kabul said the security forces are on the frontline of the war against terrorism fighting more than 20 different terrorist groups. He added that the security forces have been launching heavy military operations against Daesh in Nangarhar and recently the security forces have killed 3 Daesh key commanders in the province. “Those countries who are supporting Taliban in their fight against the Daesh are gravely wrong”, said Murtazawi.
But, political analysts claim that Moscow neither has the right to launch military operations against Daesh in Afghanistan nor has the capability to do so. These analysts urge Moscow to fight terrorist groups not by warning, but by cooperation with Afghan security forces.
Hai Gul Sulaiman Khel, a military analyst, talking to Salam Watandar expressed that the international forces are present in Afghanistan to fight terrorism and Afghan security forces launch military operations against Daesh every day. He added that with this situation of large military operations against terrorists, it is impossible for Afghanistan to become the safe haven for the Daesh in the region.
Previously reports were published indicating the military support of Russia to Taliban insurgents against the Daesh, but Alexander Mantytskiy, the Russian ambassador to Afghanistan, had justified that the Russians are in contact with the Taliban for the protection of Russian diplomats in the country.
