MOSCOW-KABUL (SW): The United States ordered Russia to close down its consulate in San Francisco and 2 diplomatic annexes, in New York and Washington, on Thursday.
Sergey V. Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, responding to the order of U.S. on Friday said the American order to close consulate in San Francisco and 2 annexes in New York and Washing has been reviewed and Moscow will soon take appropriate action.
The Russian foreign minister addressing a presser said: We have always been a friend of the people of the United States, and still we are in favor of a fruitful cooperation.
According to him, Russia sincerely wants the return of political environment of the two countries to normality. He added that Russia will respond to any move that would harm this country.
These statements came just 24 hours after the American timeline to close the 3 Russian political representations in the United States.
